BD150 Development: Prototype Construction and Flight Control Validation

Aerodynamic CFD testing has been satisfactorily completed and flight testing of a one-third scale model with first-person radio-control is underway to confirm:

• Centre of Gravity (CG) limit
• Determine conventional control characteristics including:
  • Static Stability
  • Short Period
  • Dutch Roll
  • Stall
  • Gust response and crosswind handling
• To gather data in development of fly-by-wire (FBW) control laws

The full-size production prototype BD150 aircraft construction is underway and will be completed once various supply chains have been secured.
